Do you spend eight or more hours at your desk every day, hunched over? Do your back and shoulders ache as a result from working? It’s easy to forget about proper ergonomics during the length of the work day. It’s important to have your desk set up correctly to make sure you’re not straining or stressing your body.
Point Performance’s Robert Gillanders, DPT, demonstrates how to use a foam roller to relieve the shoulders with a simple stretch you can do right in your office.
Lying lengthwise on a foam roller to create a straight spine, slowly move your arms up and over your head and sweep downwards, like you would make a snow angel. Repeat several times.
