Event: Vestibular Rehabilitation for Imbalance and Dizziness, April 15

    By PointPerformance | Blog | Comments are Closed | 13 March, 2018 | 0

    Julie Shein

The Acoustic Neuroma Support Group will be featuring Point Performance’s Julie Shein at its next support group meeting. She will be presenting on Vestibular Rehabilitation for Imbalance and Dizziness

    Sunday, April 15, 2018
    10:00am – 12:00pm

The Lab School of Washington – Boardroom
    4759 Reservoir Road, NW
    Washington, DC 20007

We welcome you to learn about the latest treatment options, to network with other acoustic neuroma patients and find encouragement and support.

FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION OR TO RSVP, PLEASE CONTACT

    Allison Shaffer, Support Group Leader/Facilitator
    Phone 301-279-9166 or Email:  akgshaffer@gmail.com
    Michelle Nemeth, Support Group Co-Leader/Co-Facilitator
Phone 703-772-7114 (Cell) or Email:  michelle.f.nemeth@gmail.com

The meeting will be facilitated by Allison Shaffer and Michelle Nemeth, post-treatment acoustic neuroma patients.

Who should attend? Family members, caregivers, friends and interested persons are encouraged to attend.

Benefits of attending a support group include communicating in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment with others who have shared a common acoustic neuroma experience; sharing information on dealing with specific problems, overcoming handicaps and reassuring others that better times lie ahead; educating and informing each other about the latest acoustic neuroma topics of interest; and providing emotional support to all patients, both pre- and post-treatment. This helps in reducing the isolation and loneliness that many acoustic neuroma patients feel.

    balance, vestibular therapy
