Keith DellaGrotta, MD

Dr. Keith DellaGrotta is a Georgetown University fellowship-trained sports medicine physician with expertise in non-operative orthopedics and musculoskeletal health. He is additionally board-certified in emergency medicine and earned his medical degree from Dartmouth College. He is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of joint, tendon, ligament, muscle, and nerve conditions using advanced ultrasound-guided techniques, including joint and soft tissue injections, aspiration, nerve release, and orthobiologic therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP). His sports medicine training and years of emergency medicine experience ensure he can provide precise, evidence-based care to patients at all stages of activity, from elite athletes to recreational individuals seeking pain relief, recovery, improved mobility, and optimal performance.

With a background as both a physician and former medical director, Dr. DellaGrotta combines technical skill with a patient-centered approach that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and results. He has extensive experience in sideline sports coverage at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels, as well as a strong track record of innovation in patient care. His unique blend of clinical excellence, leadership, and procedural expertise allows him to offer therapies that not only treat pain but also speed recovery, restore function and prevent recurrence.

Outside of medicine, Dr. DellaGrotta is a recreational athlete himself, with interests in CrossFit, running, and snowboarding. This personal commitment to fitness gives him a first-hand understanding of the challenges patients face when pain or injury interferes with their active lifestyles. His goal is to partner with each patient—whether competitive athletes or active adults—to design individualized treatment plans that get them back to doing what they love, stronger and healthier than before.

Dr. DellaGrotta was a pleasure to work with. I needed an emergency appointment to drain a very aggravated Baker’s Cyst in my knee prior to traveling by air and he fit me in to his busy schedule immediately.
