Dr. Hassan Majeed is a distinguished, board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction medicine, and pain medicine at Point Performance Medicine – Mind Body Solutions (PPM Mind Body Solutions). He received his education and training at Drexel University College of Medicine, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Medical Center. Dr. Majeed’s multi-disciplinary expertise allows him to provide a holistic approach to mental health and pain management, ensuring comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of well-being. With over fifty peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Majeed is at the forefront of his field, integrating the latest scientific advancements into his practice. His dedication to creating an inclusive and affirming space for all clients, particularly children and adolescents, is a testament to his commitment to their well-being.

At PPM Mind Body Solutions, Dr. Majeed offers a range of treatments, including psychotherapy, psychiatric medications, and novel therapies like Ketamine therapy and stellate ganglion blocks—all within an integrated practice. He provides evidence-based care for conditions such as pain disorders, neurodivergent disorders like ADHD and autism spectrum disorders, as well as anxiety, mood disorders, and behavioral challenges. His compassionate and collaborative approach combines medication management with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Majeed also works closely with families, schools, and other care providers to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.

As one of the few experts in the United States who actively practices both psychiatry and pain management, Dr. Majeed is uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive care for patients facing the complex interplay of chronic pain and psychiatric conditions. His in-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, ability to perform pertinent physical exams, and skill in interpreting radiological findings enhance his understanding of the physical aspects of his patients’ conditions. This expertise allows him to integrate regular psychotherapy with interventional pain management, a rare combination in the field.

Dr. Majeed has observed highly encouraging outcomes with his psychotherapy approach, which has proven particularly effective for challenging patients. By combining techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and emotional expression therapies, he focuses on achieving several key goals: pain reduction, symptom alleviation, and improvement in functional capabilities. His approach emphasizes the management of pain and the enhancement of mental health and emotional well-being, fostering a deeper sense of understanding and care, and enabling his patients to lead more fulfilling lives.
