Think hockey is super risky? It doesn’t have to be, thanks to the expertise of Point Performance’s Louise Kelley, DPT. She recently talked to attendees at the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee, about the thorax and role of the diaphragm in addressing and preventing musculoskeletal injuries, especially those prevalent in professional hockey players. During the labs, she and other physical therapists helped trainers in manual and exercise techniques that addressed asymmetries and pathologies behind these injuries.
