Do you ever experience dizziness when you stand up too quickly? Does the room spin when you move your head side to side? You might have an issue with gaze stabilization. In this video, Point Performance’s Julie Shein demonstrates a simple technique to build your vestibular endurance and help with gaze stabilization. As you master this technique, the room-spinning nausea can subside.
Holding a business card at arm’s length, begin to turn your head side to side quickly while keeping the print in focus. After 30 seconds, pause. You might feel some slight dizziness, but that is normal. Then begin to nod your head quickly, again keeping the print in focus. Continue for 30 seconds.
