He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, followed by child and adolescent psychiatry training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, NY. He further honed his skills with an interventional pain fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Majeed is board-certified in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, addiction medicine, and pain medicine. He believes a person’s emotional, physical, and social well-being are interrelated. He combines the best application of medications, psychological approaches, and physical interventions (injections and minimally invasive surgeries) that will enable his patients to achieve long-term health and well-being. Dr. Majeed’s academic contributions are extensive, with over fifty peer-reviewed articles published in prominent journals in the fields of psychiatry, pain management, and medical education, including The New England Journal of Medicine. He has also co-authored book chapters in leading textbooks in psychiatry and pain medicine, further demonstrating his expertise and commitment to advancing the field.

He is an art connoisseur and a marathon runner, having completed several marathons, including the New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Marine Corps marathons.
